How much does this effect frame rates?

How much does this effect frame rates? Read the blurb posted with video - the answer's there, although in general form. I wonder if Oleg has seen this and is now going 'Oh crap!', or has he had it in SoW:BoB all along?

Awesome! That was one big immersion kill from the clouds in ROF and all sims that I'm aware of. The cloud shadows are very noticeable when actually flying. I know I've complained about lack of them but never thought this would be it.
This will also help people tell wind direction without a windsock.

Something I've never really thought about, but this really will bring the ROF world to life. Looking forward to seeing it.

Very coooooool!! I think it will defiantly add to the tactics and atmosphere and I really welcome this feature though I hope it was not at the expense of increasing the default visual distance i.e. that the improved water, reflections and now this stop or delay the implementation of a greater than 2.5k draw distance for aircraft as I want to see the squadron of Gotha's at 5k without having to zoom in with my bionic eye.
I definitely welcome this feature and will slot in very nicely with the new career structure!
Cheers,
Teddy Bär
One of the stupidest things in game design is the lack of uncertainty given to the player

Does this mean clouds are no longer invisible to AI? Don't think you can make the assumption with the clouds moving but it would be good if AI couldn't see through the clouds...

Well while I dont share everyones enthusiasm with this piece of news, its still pretty cool. I am hoping one day they can implement bullet shots into the cockpit like some sims do....A bullet that can damage an airspeed indicator or altimeter....that would be very cool!!
Still though, thumbs up guy son the continued development and evolution of a wonderful game. Not my top pick of features to ask for but its definitely cool!!

Whatever exhausted.
I think it is pretty cool to be honest. The only thing close that I remember was when HiTech Creations tried moving clouds and fronts in Aces High. It worked but was a real framerate killer and that feature is rarely seen in the game these days.
If it can be done without killing framerates then awsome.
I do hope that they do cause the AI trouble now. That would be a real plus.
