Tonight is the last Monday of the month, and due to continued player turnout we'll repeat our Force on Force missions tonight.
We'll continue with how we chose sides last month, players choosing roles where they like. First come, first served. Each side will have a captain, as usual.
See you there!

I built a new PvP mission for tonight. Special Forces are sent on a snap raid when terrorists seize an embassy and hold hostages inside.
Good for up to 8 on 8. My weapons choices for players are a bit different, I'm interested to see how they play out.

Well my new PvP mission played out much differently than I expected. That building seemed to provide us with very strong footing. I'll leave it as is, and see how it goes next time.
Some fun times. PvP always has some stressful, or tense play elements IMO. That last mission for instance. I was really trying to hit and move back south ASAP. But then we "found" the Vodnik. And then the UAZ. And by then, the infantry in the woods were picking us to pieces. I wondered if the players had strolled on down our way, and indeed they had.
The best of plans lost with the momentum.

That mission leaves lots of questions. Small 2 man units attacking from multiple directions? Maybe using the vehicles to quickly flash in right up to the doors?
Lots of ways to play that one. I guess it could go differently every time.

IMHO, the terrorist mission should have a ratio of at least 2 attackers for every 1 terrorist since the buildings provide such an advantageous amount of cover.

My first time leading the charge ended miserably... Gonna have to lick my wounds for a second before trying again! Learning process all the way!

IMHO, the terrorist mission should have a ratio of at least 2 attackers for every 1 terrorist since the buildings provide such an advantageous amount of cover. Next time we play it, I'll certainly look at balancing it toward the BLUFOR. You know going in, I thought that buildings in ArmA2 tend to offer so little protection that I'd have to tip the scales the other way! Another thing, I wonder of those couple of AKS really let the OPFOR reach out too far compared to the MP5 and AA12? I may reconsider that.

Look I won't lie, I really liked my Golden AK. But I had a 360 degree elevated view of the approaches, good cover, and a rifle that outranged the attackers.
In other words, I wouldn't look forward to playing Blufor..

how bout same weapons etc, but on a full moon night, with nvgs for bluefor, the moon light should give enough light so the opfor guys can see summing in the building.
