My Avg. Benchmark FPS is ~20, which isn't too bad considering. I've noticed that it bounces between 18 - 22 FPS (Avg.), depending on how the benchmark pans out, which is slightly different every time you run it. It feels much smoother than ArmA, however, so I'm really lookin' forward to the migration!

How do you run a benchmark?

That's what you get for buying a 24" LCD. Bigger is not always better.

An Avg. of ~20 FPS isn't as bad as it sounds. In fact, that's just the Benchmark's Avg.. I get anywhere between 18 - 60 FPS, depending on what's goin' on. The benchmark is supposed to push your rig to give you an idea of what to expect when the **** hits the fan. Anything over 24 FPS feels smooth, and only when it drops below 20 will you notice any lag. Besides, I could turn down some of those settings to achieve a higher FPS, but what purpose does that serve if the game already feels smooth?

My CPU/RAM is holdin' me back. I'll upgrade in the near future, just more future than near...

I've been very surprised at how well it runs on my machine with pretty much "normal" settings across the board (AF low, shadows low, PP low) and resolution set at 1680x1050. I got a benchmark of 21. Was going to hold of an ARMA2 until I get a new computer later this year, but I might go ahead and buy it now.

AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 2.61 GHz
2 GB RAM
GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB

I think that is in the demo.

Brennus, try that benchmark, with AA off.
Then again with your draw distance down.
Then once again with post processing down a notch, then again, then off.

Shouldn't you be getting much more FPS with this configuration?

I'm just now downloading ArmA 2 from D2D. I've gotta go to work tonight, but I'll post some new benchmarks when I get a chance.

On average, I do. It's just that the benchmark mission has a lot of action going on in it. Typically I average about 30-33 FPS in a typical mission.
