I decided to try something completely different from my usual Albatros-Jasta careers and started one, flying for the RNAS 8 in late Autumn 1916, (Nieuport 17B Lewis), as Flight Lieutenant Gregory 'Doctor' House... I did this pilot as a tribute to the finale (after 8 years) of one of my favourite TV series. Complete with a Hugh Laurie pilot photo (taken from Blackadder) and a special skin bearing the medical emblem. "We haven't seen much action yet, as our home base at Vert-Galant, is at the quiet sector of the front, but after 30 missions I've got already under my belt, 3 DFW C5-s, all confirmed and an observation balloon pending." "This was my first encounter with the enemy after many many missions with no action. It felt a bit suicidal when I did my second pass on that DFW, even if I've got some hot lead from the tail gunner... I saw him crashing and immediately tried to head back home as I saw my fuel running low... My tank was hit and leaking gas at a rate It was obvious I couldn't make it all the way home ... Nothing to worry about though, I found a nice farm and landed there for a lunch break!" "After the balloon I expended the rest of my fireworks on the ground units below... but not significant damage was done, or could have been anyway. I exposed myself to unnecessary danger for nothing. I'll never do that again"See you in the next photo report... PS: All the screenshots used for the reports are untouched, but only cropped and resized. I used OFF+HITR Expansion v.1.47 with some Mods attached.

"I have flown many many missions without almost any encounter with the enemy! I admit most of them in horrible gloomy weather that makes spotting anything almost impossible! Only a couple of times we saw distant white puffs of Archie but Our FL, Captain Patrick Anderson, kept on mission objectives. 65 missions without ever confronting any enemy scout, even for the quiet sector, is kind of weird...""Anyway, I kept exercising my new field of expertise: Balloon Busting and got two more confirmed balloon kills." "Only a pair of rockets for this one! The next one proved to be tough nut to crack. My rockets went all off and took several passes and Lewis rounds to blow it up. I just managed to bank hard right and avoid the blast!" "Those two last kills, got me a promotion to Flight Commander and the DFC. Hip-Hip Hurray!" "We spent half of the days of December on the ground due to bad weather conditions, but the 21st of the last month of 1916, was a glorious sunny day! We flew two missions with no enemy opposition and when we got back from our last sortie, in the fiery colours of the setting sun, we found our new Sopwith Scouts, they call them Pups, waiting for us. Farewell my little French butterfly, N17B!"
