These guys were only supposed to patrol near steer point SKYA but for some reason decided to go about 25 miles out of their way to wreak havoc on our base, therefore preventing us from rearming and reloading...

So I went hunting for them with guns only. What could possibly go wrong?

Here is the sequence of events of Section Eight getting hit by twice by SAMs yet manages to make a safe return to base:
Line up on column of vehicles

Engaging with GAU-8, you can also see the first SAM being launched (puff of white smoke)

After impact

Impact of second SAM

Roll over (notice SAM smoke trail)

Recovery

View from Wrecking Crew's perspective

Close up of the damage

And after all that he still managed to limp home to repair and rearm.

A-10: two SAMs? Is that all you've got?

Normally true....although I was losing fuel. These pictures show the trail...yet I couldn't see it when I was in-game.
