I'm wondering, with IL-2 in mind, if the above combination works. I'm thinking of using a gameport to USB converter. Would that do the trick? And if so, is there a specific driver I have to get? I am using the SST software for my X-45.

It's a hit and miss with these gameport to USB adapters. I haven't tried an adapter with your particular setup but maybe someone who has can chime in.

I use my setup for Enemy Engaged: Comanche vs Hokum, but what worked for me was the following.

Hookup X45 USB as normal
Hookup CH Gameport Pedals into a joystick (MS 3d Pro) and then the stick into the gameport.

Works great for EECH, since it's setup to recognize a second controller. Actually it works in Battlefield 2, as well. If you've got an old stick laying around, give it a shot.

Well, if it works through a stick it should hopefully work via a USB adapter too. Thanks and I'll let you know how it goes.

Scorpion, or anyone please who knows.

I have an X45 joystick and throttle.
I have a MS Sidewinder FFB2 joystick - usb
I have CH pedals -gameport version.

Can The Sidewinder be used with the X45 throttle - If so how, and how is it programmed - keys mapped in game?

Can the pedals be used at all in this setup?

TIA.

Yes, you can use the Sidewinder with the X-45 throttle (assuming that your game supports multiple controllers).
You still have to have the throttle plugged into the X45 stick but just put that to the side.

Don't see why you can't use whatever mapping utility the Sidewinder uses as well as in game unless you get some kind of software conflict.

I would think that you could use the same way to use the pedals as above (as long as your game supports that no. of controllers).
