Just finished my first online session in SH3.

What a blast,we used TS to get ourselves sorted out and we went at the convoy.

Had fun but this has shown up the most glaring fault (IMHO) with SH3 the way it is now.

1.
We need direct IP for online.

Having to go through UBI.com is not the answer.

2.
We must have "Wolfpacks"

Attacking the convoy from 2 sides was great, while the destroyer went for the other sub, I took out a tanker.

Yes direct ip would be great.
Wonder why its left out?

ubi.com is great for pickup games but 99% of my games are with friends and known ip so would much rather connect manually.

Well,

Can you describe in more detail your net setup, what the IP problem is... etc.

thanks,

Dan

I had no problem with using UBI, it is just that I do not want to be dependent on ONE service for my online gaming.

Like Ray said above UBI is great for pickup games but what do we do if it is not working for whatever reason.

Direct IP would give us more options.

Yup,

direct IP would be much better for pings (Pun intended \:D ) and would have less lag, as I play with my squad-mates, all from Finland.

With direct IP we wouldn't all have to connect to France or where ever the UBI-servers are, and would be rid of the possible network congestion, UBI down-times etc, etc.

Cheers,

K
