1940 August. U-54 on patrol in the BF sector. First kill torpedo hit a C-class destroyer. From then on its 10 deck gun kills in that sector. Weather is continously calm; in fact no wind at all and always sunny. After the last deck gun kill I am out of gun ammo and the weather suddenly turns bad -who cares! Got no use for the gun anymore! I turn south, make contact with a C3. Heavy fog.

I close in and finally can get a resolution. Fire 3 torps.....all duds! Hell, he won't get away! Long story short I fire all my torps,(except the reserves), all duds except the last 2 which sink him!

How weird is that?! If I had not been so lucky with weather, my patrol would have gone sour. And how funny that the weather went bad just as I had fired my last gun round, (which, incidently, was the last round needed to sink that C2!). Gotta love this sim! \:D
