My system specs are as follows: p3-450, 196mbs ram, v3/200 w/ 16mbs vid ram. also, a dangerously low hd anyway, aside from the hd, will I be able to run ww2 online? I'm not worried about anything hi res, 800x600 or even 640x480 is fine. I'm on dsl, in the Toronto area, i'm not sure if lag is a problem, if anyone is playing from here, let me know. I'd like to jump on the bandwagon, I've been on Ultima Online for the longest time now, and the massively multiplayer experience is by far the best way to game ------------------ A site for those of us who fight from chairs and home of the sitzkrieg current events forum. You're going to get terrible frame rates with those specs. but then again, some of the faster machines are getting less frames than me.

really? I read in a few posts that I should be ok... The only game I haven't been able to play on my pc well is Tribes 2, but I haven't tried that since i upgraded from 64 megs of ram. I'm itching to get this game though does anyone have any good news for me? ------------------ A site for those of us who fight from chairs and home of the sitzkrieg current events forum. joe, I play regularly with a P2 400 256 ram. The best fps is in tanks for me and is very playable. My suggestion would be to replace that 64 stick of ram with at least 128, preferably 256. That will make a pretty big difference and give you the most bang for your buck. Originally posted by joe_stallin: My system specs are as follows: p3-450, 196mbs ram, v3/200 w/ 16mbs vid ram.

I agree with KC, especially if you set the visuals up for maximum speed. You load times may be slow, ans you MUST clear 500 or so MB on c drive for a swap file. This game is very much worth the risk JS, I very seldom am compelled to look past the many faults of a game such as this and give it a hearty reccomendation. IMO even in it's current state it is amazing, engrossing, and completely addictive.

Ok, count me in. I'm pretty good at tweaking things to get them to run properly. Memory isn't a problem for me, I can get ram dirt cheap from work. My main bottleneck is my bloody pc100 board that has no agp on it. I can't find any better pci cards than my v3 ------------------ A site for those of us who fight from chairs and home of the sitzkrieg current events forum. The Sitzkrieg pctom@techie.com

I don't think the voodoo 3 will be a problem for you.The is a 16 bit option, and lots of available tweaks in the game setup to play with. There is a voodoo 5 pci though, and I think someone will be making a pci kyro II as well. Ram will probably help you the most anyway, but get the game first, patch it and try it before tou buy it. I am running a 100mhz fsb mainboard also.

Didn't know I could get a v5 pci Is it useful? In regards to support I mean. If 3dfx is dead, who's going to make new drivers and make sure it's compatible in the future? ------------------ A site for those of us who fight from chairs and home of the sitzkrieg current events forum. Well, there is an alternative. How about an geforceMX pci?http://www.inno3d.com/product_mx.html But I suggest holding off and using the dough to get your ram count up for now. http://www.crucial.com/
