First off, I must say I very pleased with this game overall. A few minor gripes but hopefully some of them will be sorted out.

1. I hate starforce and it hates my dvd rom. It installed fine but the protection cant read the disc in my toshiba dvdrom. I had to disable the internal dvd drive and use my USB dvd-rw just for that.(got to go check the official forums about that)

2. the harbor maps are....inaccurate...I set waypoints down the center of waterways, hit accel time, turned around and had a dead crew... Kiel...thats all I have to say

3. set heading to view...set depth to.... I'm not blind yet, but those dials....

On my 2nd mission in my 87% career after running a test career at 67.

Made a run through the channel for the first time without too much trouble, though I used more fuel than I figured and manage to stick the sub in the mud.(I did that in AOD, but at least I got out this time) avoiding the patrols.

Past my patrol zone BF17, I've found a destroyer where I figured to find a small merchant. Turns out, he was part of a convoy including a troop ship. The presense of the troop ship made me decide to attack the destroyer. 1 dud, (1 miss and 1 hit sank) the destroyer.

I surfaced to make a run but found another tin can so I made a submerged run in the convoy(which almost ended badly as I came real close to ramming a c2 cargo when I came back to periscope depth. I didnt see the troop ship but the 2nd destroyer was closing at 180 and the tanker was 1000m almost dead ahead. 2 torps away and a dive and turn under the convoy.

I missed the tin can since he damaged me as he made his attack run, but I sank the tanker. I'm currently running within the convoy reloading my torps. Its about 2 hours to darkness and there's a troop ship hopefully still out there.

(BTW) my boat is the U-49

Historically, the real U-49 did 3 patrols, sank 1 ship(4258 grt) and was lost in Vaag Fjord 15.4.40. 1 crew lost, 41 pow
