Hi, I've been experiencing CDT after finishing some missions. Some times right before landing, and some others after pressing the finish mission button.
I've looked everywhere and tried everything advised with no result so, I decided to play with the settings from the main menu.

I found that turning MAX DETAIL off cured it, with
no relation to object density, refresh rate, or resolution.

The crashes, I've to tell you, occurred playing the
Hell's Angels patched RB3D, and running WinXP and a Nvidia card (Ge Force 4).
I've heard of people complaining of the same thing happening to them using FCJ, so maybe my "solution" will help them also?

Happy landings

Thanks for the tip. I'll file it away for when I need it.

Hey BB!
Glad to "see" you. I forgot to add that when you disable Max Detail on objects, some things don't show. So if you need the extra detail, like for strafing or bombing runs, you can re-enable it. when your run is finished, you can disable details again so you don't CDT on arrival at your base.

For those who don't remember or are new, right clicking during the game will bring a menu for changing settings. Naturally you can also pause the game before doing it (you don't want anybody to jump on you while distracted....)

Happy landings
sebastian

Hi, PONS! Yep, that's the same fix as posted for missions that are very long in duration. You should be able to get any mission requirements completed without any problems. If it's been a long distance to target, the problem is likely to show up after getting about halfway back to base. I'm not aware if there may be a "maximum mission time" factor involved.
