OK, voted! Maybe a bit more tricky with RB3d the way you can't pan with the hatswitch but with the "disabled" joystick. At least they've got someone looking at it.

Phew! Just finished a wild mission in RB3d (HASP, have WFP and FCJ installs too). Now with Jasta 12 on DVIIs. Late August 1918 and been at the Front a virtual year on and off, more interested now in survival than getting to 60 kills. Got the balloon but jumped by 3 56 Sqdn SE's. Was leading this time. Buggers got first one and then the second of my flightmates, damn! Thought I was for the chop with 3 on one but gradually dismantled one of them and finally hit the pilot just as my ammo ran out! Would not use the daisycutter invulnerability but with some wild evasion and drawing them over our ground MGs for a respite, managed to scramble across the lines and land on an airfield just our side. Every muscle in my upper body is now aching with the tension, and I'm in sore need of a glass of virtual Schnapps. Not much fun, don't think I could face another one of those tonight, got the wind up good and proper; but what an experience! There are not many flightsims that can do that, are there?

When you soar into the air in a Sopwith scout
And you're scrapping with a Hun and your gun cuts out
Well, you stuff down your nose till your plugs fall out
'Cos you haven't got a hope in the morning!

Yes, know what you mean. I have just found out how to make missions. Made one where I go to bust a balloon and three SE5s jump me. Mymate and i got shot up but i managed to get two and get home .
As you say, it really seems the fight matters in this sim.
Although the padlock is OK, I can imagine what it would be like with the trackir, able to look at the three bandits in a natural, non padlocking manner. If trackir can do it, I'll spend the bread. -hell, you only live once.!

Bump \:\)
Jim, of trackIR, has indicated they may look at Red Baron as a suitable sim.
Perhaps you guys could kindly look over to the forum above and indicate your interest- It might "tip his hand" to actually put RB into the TrackIR "family".
Thanks
