Hey,
I recently installed this game again on my new computer and it seems to work fine the first time I play it. The problem is that the second time and after, if I try to play then the sound wont work. I have no idea what the problem is, so I figured that maybe one of you guys had an idea.

You've encountered the infamous WinXP sound bug, I'm afraid. That's the bad news...

The good news is there is a fix!

Go to the Wings of Valor website. That's a favorite "watering hole" of a lot of RB3D pilots, particularly those of us who like to fly on-line. But I digress...

On the left-hand side of the home page, you'll see a section called Resources. Under Resources, you'll see an "XP Related" hyperlink. Click on it.

You don't want Pepe LePeu's "XP Sound Workaround"...you want to download the "XP Utility." Download it and follow the instructions in the "Read Me" file to install it and use it. Although it adds one extra step to launching the game, it fixes the problem and is really very, very simple to use.
