You ought to know about two other major stand-alone patches that are currently available. I have separate installs for all three.

The Western Front Patch:

BB, I would recommend going first with Western Front Patch. If for no other reason than it is the (IMO) easiest of the three to use. Also it is a good stepping stone to the others. It is also easiest to use online - where all the real action is!

Mind you, all are great. Whatever you choose you sure won't regret it.

Thanks for the help. I am a seasoned flight combat simmer and have enjoyed WWI aircraft that I have added to CFS2; good, but limited. I am looking forward to fun with updated RB3D and will be back to this forum, I am sure for help and advice. As always SimHQ forums have come to my rescue. BadBud

WFP has a bit of a learning curve, I would not recommend it as a first Patch. I wouldn't miss out on it either
WFP is an amazing UOP (UnOfficial Patch). It has over 100 planes available to fly,requires the installation of von Tom's CAMPAIGN MANAGER to switch them in and out based on game date.
CM is not just for WFP and is a good program to add to RB3D early - look into it and you'll see why.
FCJ (FullCanvas Jacket) is the most graphically updated of the UOP's, requires to be purchased.
HAG2 (Hell's Angels Gold II) is the quickest,easiest one-shot upgrade to be found for RB3D. After seeing the stock game,and loading HAG2,yer jaw will drop to the floor in amazememnt!

Try out the game after installing each patch/program before moving on to the next.
