I have a USB joystick that I cant get to work.
I got RBII3D working last night, even tho I have XP, by using the XP .bat files and new single and multi player start icons I found at someones web site, (thank you!!) but the stick will NOT work.
I know SOMEONE must have a work-around for this....
HELPPPPPPP.

I'm at work at the moment so I can't check, but I thought there was a checkbox on the FCJ start up panel for a "USB Fix". Not sure what it does. I've got an old fashioned Thrustmaster FLCS running on WIN98SE.

I dont have it (yet) because I need to get RBII3D runnning correctly BEFORE I go there.
I've known Kess for ever. Well, at leats from my JG2 days flying RBII. I KNOW his product is good but I hate to get something I cant use...
Still hoping someone comes up with a fix for me.

It seems to me I did have some sort of "XP-Start" thingie that I added but not being home right now I cant remember.

I had the same problem with my MS FF2 USB stick. I tried the utility from FCJ panel and the one aforementioned without any luck, until I looked at the control panel settings for the Game controllers.

In the menu dialog for the game controller select your USB stick and then select the ADVANCED button.
Under the Advanced dialog will be drop-down box selecting what device you want to have as the "preferred controller" for older apps, select your USB stick. As soon as I did that, I was able to use my FF2.

Yes Lobo1 there are LOTS of us out there with XP and USB joysticks all working well with RB3D

There have been some problems try what pickled suggested - that has worked for others.

I would say that Pickled's suggest is the one that solved my problem.

Not being one that flys WWI or Red Barron I can only speak to the hardware issues I've encountered. Could it be the USB Chip Set? What ones are you using? (VIA, SiS, Luscent...)

XP fixes are built into the FCJ control panel app buddy.

I have XP and use a USB stick and it worked fine but that wasn't my problem, when I put the glide wrappers in my sound didn't work but that's fixed now and all is well looks real sweet now too with the wrappers gonna get FCJ NOW!!!

Pickled I should of tried that with EF2000 v2.0 so I just used my gameport mt stick does both cause USB didn't work at all, and now all is well maybe ltr I'll mess with that THNX!!
