If you downloaded it from the Glidos site, it should be the latest and should work. Did you unzip it into your main RB3D folder?

Also, what are your system specs (CPU, RAM, Video Card, etc)?

Athlon 1.8 with a Geforce3 500TI,512 RAM,Santa Cruz sound card running WinXP.Heres what I loaded so far:

1) Install RB3D + latest Sierra patch (http://www.wings-of-valor.org/files/patches/rb3d1078.exe)

2) Download VonTom’s Campaign Manager (aka CM11) ( http://www.wings-of-valor.org/files/utilities/vontom/cm11.zip + http://www.wings-of-valor.org/files/utilities/vontom/vbrun300.zip ) OR my RBPatch ( http://benchmarksims.com ). You’ll need one of these to be able to use WFP, but I recommend CM11 as there’s instructions in the WFP docs on how to setup WFP using CM11.

3) Download The Western Front Patch ( http://www.swwisa.net/wfp/ ).

4) Download the PL All Seasons UOP ( http://www.wingwalkers.org/jasta1/newplmain.htm ).
Should I load the Glide patch before or after I install the patches above?

IMO, it is best to get RB3D set up and running in normal 3D mode with the stock terrain and planes before starting with those (sometimes) complicated add-ons. I usually install the game, then Glidos, then I check to see if I have the Glide option to check.

That patch you are referring to is the multiplayer patch. Do you have RBII or RB3d? If you have RBII, you must first patch it to the 3D version with the Super Patch.

Well I uninstalled everything last night and reinstalled It again in the order of my last post, with the exception being after the two patches from sierra I loaded the glide patch then added the other patches all the way through step 4.
Voila! there was glide in the preferences,I checked It and crossed my finger and played an instant fly now.At first I thought It wasn't working, because I couldn't see any other planes. That was until I realized I was flying in clouds! Then there was the other plane. After blazing away for ten minutes(Ok unlimited ammo, and I needed It!)I finally managed to shoot It down. Then I took a joy ride and saw the terrain, compared to what It was before ,Its like a miracle occured. There were trees and bridges and I'm not sure but I thought I saw a train too.I didn't see many buildings though, even though I did see quite a few in some of the screenshots.
Anyway a heartfelt thanks to all those who put all the long nights and hard work into all this.To anyone who has this game and hasn't used It in a while, please dust It off, install the patches and mods and truly be amazed at this WW1 sim that looks almost as good as IL2 In my humble opinion.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to use the campaign manager?

Well I uninstalled everything and reinstalled with the exception of adding in the glide wrapper after the official sierra patches and voila It all works now!
Its amazing how realistic It looks.Even the terrain is amazing now so truly realistic.
Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all who were involved in all the patches and mods.
And to those who have this game collecting dust somewhere in a corner, dust It off, install the patches and mods and truly be amazed!
Now all I have to do is figure out how to use the campaign manager,I read the readme but am still at a bit of a loss, any advice or help would be appreciated.
Oh and If theres two post almost similar,my 1st one seemed to disappear, maybe It takes a bit to update, sorry If It repeats.

Bruce,

You may wish to drop by our humble abode - there is a little "patching primer" that details how to use Campaign Manager - it is a little old but the basic proc is the same.

Drop by and have a look. (Click the RedBaron button then "tutorials".

Salute!

Glad you perservered Bruce Well worth it! I think sometimes us Voodoo users forget that there is a whole other world out there who are deprived of the nice graphics for which RB was designed.

Unless they frequent the forums or fly online they won't probably ever know what they are missing.

RB3D modded on my computer looks better than IL2 does also. I wish they handled the lower end settings better in IL2 for skins, like maybe you could drop 256x256 skins into "Forgotten Battles" instead of the game doing the resizing and making them kind of ugly.
