Hi Johnski
Sorry I missed your and Lings queries below, trust you are both now up & running.
I had a few similar probs early on - I have a Gf2 Mx200 so I doubt the card is the prob. Running fine now. The psychadelic stuff was intermittent in my case and it just seemed to stop as strangely as it started, maybe because of the mods I installed. I still get the odd prob with M1TP2 also. I think all my GeForce driver settings are the defaults.
I would suggest you download and install - as an absolute priority - the "glide wrapper" since without it RB3d will not be 3d but will run in inferior direct draw/software rendering.
The address is:
http://www.glidos.net/baron.html and it's a tiny d/l and a cinch to install.
The wrapper will enable you to tick "glide" as a graphics option and the graphics will be transformed from primitive to a thing of some beauty.
Worry about the graphics prob only if you still get it after installing the wrapper. With it, I still get some occasional flickering from layer clouds but it's minor and some settings changes can help.
Get Campaign Manager, and the Western Front Patch from (IIRC)
http://www.swissa.net. The latter transforms in a single step the crude appearance of the planes to astounding replicas with every wire visible. By all means try the alternatives like ROTJ2 too. But don't suffer with the stock planes a second linger than you have to. Combined with the wrapper, it's like you're IN the Blue Max.
And don't forget the brand-new Promised Land terrain package. Outstanding. But get the wrapper as a minimum, ASAP.
If graphics probs persist after that I'm sure the helpful folks here will be able to get you sorted PDQ. Try searching the board with a keyword like "psychedelic" or "graphics", which may thow up some ready made fixes.
Welcome aboard.
