I have RedBaronII with the 3D super patch some time ago (when I had a Voodoo Banshee video card) and the graphics in RedBaron3D were very good in Glide mode but more recently I have adquired a GeForce2 video card and I can only play RedBaron3D in DirectDraw mode (obviously!!) but the graphics in DirectDraw are much worse that those in Glide!! So my question goes:
-Is there a way to get better Graphics (specially on the ground textures) with my GeForce2 video card??

I hope someone could help me in this one!

You are in luck! A new glide wrapper has been found that works pretty well for RB. Just go to:
http://www.glidos.net
and go to the Red Baron page. Download the two files and follow the instructions on the Red Baron page. The wrapper isn't 100% yet, but it is very very close to it.

Yes it is pretty close to 100%. Ive followed you RB'ers search for a glide wrapper for over a year and this is pretty good. The only issues I have with it is it limits my resolution to 800x600, maybe because thats my desktop res? And when you get close for the kill the FPS drops and it stutters horribly. But thats just the last few inches in a long journey.

Mines limited to 800x600 also.I don't find that a big deal because I really can't see a visual difference between 800x600 and 1024x768.

With these Glide Wrappers and playing in glide mode surelly RedBaron3D as much better looking graphics than those in DirectDraw!!
And now I can finally play my favourite WWI flight simulator with the same pleasure than I had before!!

Another option is to slave a Voodoo card to your AGP card for Glide based games. Old Voodoo2 cards are available on EBay. I am using a fairly modest Celery 433 and with a Voodoo2 in a PCI slot I get around 30-35 fps in online games.

Another way to improve the graphics is to install the 3D models from SWWISA. These are detailed 3D aircraft models complete with wing wires and other details. Try http://www.swwisa.net or follow the links from http://www.wings-of-valor.org

There are also graphics improvements improvements available for terrain, structures and and sky.
