Just when this forum went into limbo I was about to ask this question. I've been playing RB3d SP game and I notice that the Aces aircraft, although shown in the Squadron Info. Log as having individual colours, are not evident during the SP campaign game play. I suspect that this maybe a bug situation and if so how can I correct it. It would be nice to be able to identify the aces in my Jasta or the opposition by their specific painted aircraft. Any help out here?

on the graphics options screen, there are 2 small check boxes towards the bottom that say something like "default" and "custom" textures. to see the different colour schemes u have to have "custom" checked.

Okay, I set the 'graphic section - texture' to 'Custom' and flow some missions. I still don't get the aces (German) flying in their personalized painted aircraft although the 'Squadron Info. Log' says that they do. What I've observed is that the aces (German) fly in the same coloured aircraft. The Albtross DIII flown by the aces, in this case, has the all wood fuselage, black spinner, brown & green main planes & tail with an all white rudder. This paint configuration seems to be simply a default scheme . So I'm still looking for a solution and the aces flying in their proper livery. Skylark .. out

Hmmm I seem to have an opposite problem. But first off, let me inform you that I'm using the old Beery SuperPatch v2.0 UOP. I have no problems with ace colours. You can see evidence of this from the wallpapers I made out of screenshots. You can see Jasta 11 members, the Baron, his brother, and Karl Allmenroder, all flying their Albatroses in the proper schemes. The funny thing is, whenever I look at the Squadron Info, the profiles of the aces' planes don't show the schemes! Well, I'd rather that they show correctly in-mission rather than in that bug-ridden journal hehehe. Try out an UOP, maybe it can help solve the problem. Just a humble suggestion.

Yes Skylark , in the stock game there is a "bug' where none of the 8 listed Alb DIII aces show their colors.

All "full game" UOP singleplay enhancements correct this however ... like Baron von Benz UOP 4.5 , WingStrut22 , and Beery's.

They offen add other aces schemes not included in the stock game .. most notably Josef Jacob's Dr1 , the 5th highest ace of Germany (I think) was left completely out of the stock game.

You'll also see a couple of 2 seaters that just didn't seem to show up in the stock game at all ..

Skylark,

I have noticed that the aces colours are not shown in certain views and are in other views, I can't remember which as I haven't played the game for a few weeks.

Thanks guys, As suggested I downloaded Baron von Benz UOP 4.5 and I'm happy to report that the bug is dead.
