When I'm powering along the south coast of Norway making my way for the W coast of Great Britain little ship "sightings" pop up on the map. My question is how is this information arriving on my map?

There are no reports from sonar, radio, or watch officers of contacts and they tend appear at ranges that couldn't be seen from the watch deck. And I sure can't see anything when I'm on deck or even when I free cam zoom about the area.

Sorry, I'm new here. ;\) But loving this!

Apparently the devteam have confirmed that these sightings are based on reports that the radioman has received from U-Boat Command.

Cheers sonar,

I suspected that they had to be. The lack of a recorded 'message received' in the radio log is what had me confused.

Thanks again.

That is one of the things that really has me mad. Something like this could be explained in the manuel. For me I think this is one of the poorest manuals for a such a in depth sim that I've seen.

Theres a manual?
I thought all men dove right into things and manuals be-damned!
Yes I agree it's a pretty poor manual for the amount of depth this sim has.
Have you tried looking at the PDF manual to see if it's any different?

It's the same manual just in PDF, prob included for those who buy it direct from the internet and download the game.
