While finishing the last training mission I witnessed a funny episode. I had sunk the three biggest convoy ships and grazed the last by the time the escorts were bearing down on me.

Dive and hard right..... the tin cans miss me by a small bit...silent running for a bit and then engines cut, sitting at the bottom of my safe depth envelope.

Here's the funny bit. While spinning the hydrophone I picked up screws, fine. But then I picked up some other strange noise. So I decide to break the tension and went to external view.

At first I thought the escort was trying to nail me (way down deep)with his deck guns. Upon closer inspection and a little camera panning I see he is firing at the other escort who is returning fire. LOL! They are both dancing around a great cirle and unloading deck guns and machine guns at each other.

I think maybe Churchill was wrong and he shouldn't have feared the u-boat threat as much as the undiscipline in the Royal Navy.

I have the game paused at that point, so I'm off to see how this donnybrook turns out. \:D

uhh...might want to save that one and turn it into the devs (if they have a system for bug reporting).

Because one Brit won't take another Brit's Bollocks for that long \:\)

On a side note, in the same mission I was happily searching for fresh targets, and I must have had my 'scope too far out, because the DD that was patrouling the area ran me over!!!

He didn't ping me, because he saw me as my scope created quite a visible wake as I was crusing at high speed!

I was totally shocked when he ran over me! My boat tumbled in the water and started to sink; I got damage reports and checked the damage-screen: some hull damage to the Wintergarten as well as the bridge, and the scope was ruined...

But hey.. WHAT a friggen awesome sim this is!
