I was like that with EAW when it came out...Still twitch when I hear or write the words "EAW".

Might be time to face the family; blow the ballasts and make your way to one of the many "SH3 Anonymous" clinics m8ty \:\) ; I'm sure I'll join you there some time soon...

SHIII has the same sort of "immersion" factor that all the great sims, such as European Air War, Aces of the Deep, Aces over the Pacific, Red Baron II, and Silant Hunter, have had. It is simply excellent.

Well done for spotting that merchant Konrad Schmidt!

In light of the above, I feel qualified to write in this thread. Lord only knows what my boss thought I was doing. Infact, I'm not supposed to be on the 'net at them moment. Gotta go!

Heh heh. I also have a log book in which I note time and date of departure and any interesting things that may happen. And then I close off patrol notes when I dock back at Wilhelmshaven. (Is it still called that? I think I want to go there on holiday.)

First it was Microprose's GrandPrix2, which I played obsessively, putting in miles and miles of setup testing so I could beat my rival (I won 2 successive Championships; I'm too old for racing now, don't have the courage for fast corners), then I got SH2 as eyecandy/salespoint for a graphics card, and played all through a winter dressed in the right garb.

Then it was CM4. I knew nothing about football, got stuck into CM, no I watch football and play fantasyleague.

But I am glad SH3 is here; I was about to reinstall SH2 when the new one finally hit the stores.
