Is there a no-cd patch for Jane's 688(i) Hunter-Killer? I am building a retro sim PC (pre-2000) and am trying to avoid the need for the CD (yes, I own a copy). Thanks if anyone can help.

Well, I ended up using "fakecd" to create a virtual CD drive (J: drive) on my hard drive. I searched the registry for "688(i)" and where I found the drive letter for the 688(i) CD, I changed it to my fakecd drive.

Then I had to copy the Database, Movies, and Tutorial folders along with Tutorial.hlp to the main J: directory and it worked great.

I don't like having to have the CD or DVD in. It always takes time when browing the explorer
