Hi all,

The Harpoon HeadQuarters, the premier computer-Harpoon fan site on the web, is announcing the preparation of the first issue of "Waypoint", the magazine of the computer Harpoon community.

Waypoint is to be the single most comprehensive source of info on all things related to all the computer versions of Harpoon. News, scenarios, detailed articles, FAQs, platform profiles and more.

The first issue will be released at the end of December, and will be freely available _exclusively_ at the HarpoonHQ site (www.harpoonhq.com).

We welcome fellow players to contribute to the magazine content with their own ideas. Think you can profile your favorite ship/sub/aircraft/land-unit better than anyone else? Have a definite opinion on something related to air/naval warfare? Think you can dissect a scenario to pieces? Send us your ideas & suggestions to waypoint@harpoonhq.com.

10-4, Rodger Dodger, Over Out, Under Over, Over Done!

I haven't been Poonin' much of the past few weeks. I got a wild hair up my butt to reread the Lord Of The Rings (starting with The Hobbit) so I could see how much was left out of the movies. My goal is to be done with The Two Towers before it is released on the 18th. I'm just about done with The Fellowship Of The Rings. IMHO, the movie did a great job in telling a very brief version of events. I didn't realize how much detail was left out of the movie. Besides, I'm also building up putter time right now with the wife unit. You know, that Quality Time stuff. She is a romance novel reading machine (2-3 books a week)! I figure I should have a good amount of game time built up by the time H4 comes out. If nothing else I can use it with H3 and my Christmas gift of Matrix Games' Uncommon Valor (can't wait to get my hands on that one!).

Check this out, you can order a printed and bound game manual via their website (www.matrixgames.com) through Kinko’s and it will be delivered to your front door. It’s the same manual that comes with the game in PDF format. They have three different versions to order. I got the one with the color front cover with a spiral bound binding. The other pages were black and white (bummer). I had it shipped via the Fed Ed Saver rate and it got to my house in three days! Total cost including shipping was $17.00. I wish more game companies would make this available. HINT! HINT! ULTIMATION - UBISOFT!!!!!!

Looking forward to the first issue!

Slick
