I just watched C:FAS on VHS tape from the Discovery channel store. I have to say, there is a LOT of work that goes on around the Carrier. More than I knew went on anyway. I THINK they showed more footage on the tape, then I remember seeing when I watched it on the Discovery Channel.

I like how they praise the F-14D, saying that it's the fastest plane on the ship, a long range fighter, etc.. . They call the F-14D the SUPER TOMCAT. That has a nice ring to it, SUPER TOMCAT. Someone PLEASE make an F-14D sim, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!?!?

I hope the TSH guys can get Janes F-18 hacked, to make the F-14D flyable with a working cockpit.

Anyway, "Carrier: Fortress at Sea" is a pretty informative film. Now where's that Janes F-18 CD......

If you want an F-14 sim, look for F-14 Fleet Defender, it simulates IIRC the F-14A.
It's an older sim though.

Discovery is nice but I sometimes think that they are a bit too oriented on American stuff, I would like to see some programs dealing with modern Russian or European stuff.
They had a series titled "Wings of the red star" some years ago.

Try falcon 4.0 you can fly the f14a there and there is some cockpits of the plane u can fly with as well and it looks cool

Yeah, try F4 with RP 4.0 so you can fly any plane,wait for the F-14s to take off and take over the flight, those AIM-54s pack a punch Recently i've been flying MIG-19s and 21s with th DPRK which is a real challenge in hard mode

One thing about flying the Tomcat in F4: no carrier take-offs and/or landings!

I prefer to fly the Tomcat in JF-18. The pit may be the Hornet's, but the FM feels different (noticeable during final approach on carrier landings).
