Anyone serve out of Norfolk,VA?

I did for a time.

I was stationed at Norfolk and Little Creek.

Skater: Did you do any time on a vessel? If so which one. I was there 76-79 on destroyer escort/research vessel.

I've done time at Little Creek and Dam Neck, on the USMC side.

I can relate to that!

Did several cruises on Fast Attack boats, and short stints on various amphibs, but no real surface cruises.

BTW, I did not even get in the Nav until 1988. I was playing army with sticks in the park when you were in Old Salt!

My uncle was on a Destroyer out of there during that time. Jeff Brodsky. I'll get the ship name from him and post it here.

He might have seen USS Glover (AGFF-1). I recently used the internet to check up on her - sad fate - they turned her into razor blades!
