About this work on the water: I would like to see the water surfaces be a reflection of the sky colour, darkened somewhat by angle and wave height (perhaps = wind velocity at surface), the angle dependence being when looking at a shallow angle towards water at the distant horizon, the reflection is most perfect, on a placid day. Thus, at dusk, one might see an orange sun reflected in the ocean. Perhaps doing an actual reflection computation would be to much of a cpu load, but I think it might be faked by a simple set of rules to get around that, if necessary. Mostly, having a dark blue sea is wrong both on a day with a grey sky (sea should be dark grey to greygreen) or a very sunny windless day (sea should be pale blue like the sky).
