I'm trying to re-install the game that used to work perfectly well around a year ago which is when I last played it. I've followed instructions from the FAQ, used the toolbox to delete the game and clear the registry, deleted the appdata files and did a clean re-install. At no point did it ask me for an order number.
When I'm launching WOFF - the cursor turns into a red circle like a road sign and the screen turns black for a moment before CTD.
I cannot launch cfs.exe either as it says that it's "unable to check EULA".
I tried various compatibility modes and starting the program as an administrator. Nothing works. I'm using the newest version of the game, with the newest patch. I remembered to install DirectX properly. AV shouldn’t be an issue and no files were deleted or quarantined.
CFS config says that there was an error "loading MSGConfigDatabase.txt as it couldn't find the file".
I installed the copy of CFS3 in a different location and it will not start either. It will Do nothing - not even display an erfor message. Applying the newest patch and compatibility mode didn't help either.
