The flarepath editor:

All sorts of things can be set easily and it can make "airfld00 .....12.3dz" files with just the flarepath for testing in any slot.

You can see the randomising of position wink
The planes are on the runway but difficult to see.
When you are moving because these triangles are small they give the impression of flickering to simulate "FIDO"

I deliberately left the runway icon on to show the distance.
It is so easy to change the settings and re-test.

Historically "FIDO" was used for returning aircraft on foggy conditions

I have been adding the flare-paths to the real "airfldXX.3dz" files manually with a hex editor, and I will make a utility to do that more easily.
I have also been using OAW to add folders with flarepaths or other illuminated airfields to the root folder
