An interesting video to check out even though I take issue with the inclusion of some generals who were not battlefield commanders but instead were staff room generals. It's really two very different animals.

Interesting list PM..As you say some are staff officers and number of battles isn't necessarily a gauge George Washington is low in battles won but he won the last one,,That matters

Absolutely. Some battles were much more pivotal in determining the course of the war than other battles.

Ajay...Napoleon #1 with 58 battles won #2 was The Duke Of Wellington another case where the amount of victories isn't a true measure,,Just ask Napoleon

What destroyed Napoleon was the Russian winter of 1812. He invaded Russia with an army of 600,000 and left with about 18,000.
As for Waterloo, even Wellington himself said that the battle could have very easily gone to the French at several moments throughout the day’s fighting.

Could have been Phil but wasn't...Most large battles have their points where it could have went the "other way" Might be good fodder for alternate histories but ..Who was left on the field ??
