They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

109 Model improvements? Could that be working leading edge slats? Probably not - but nice new skins! Good to see this steady improvement. Can't wait for any news about your battle of france update!

Question for Devs pls............I, for one, would love to know what the model improvements to the Spit and the 109 are.....really just to be able to appreciate them. I'm never able to pick 'em out and would love to see a before/after if that's even possible. The whole thing moves toward better and better but it'd be fun to see behind the curtain if it's not too much of a waste of time. Anyhow....thx again for your work. Cheers

Hi gaw

I know that some of the changes are not visibly noticible and are just fit and finish to the skin layer.
Sometimes little anomalies only come to light when the skinners try to apply texture to the model.

Of course Pol can shed more details on the matter if he has time to reply.

Best Regards

The Spitfire was many small fixes to wings, the look and quality, smoothness, glitches in various places, etc balancing how things appear visually looking left to right. Fixing the moving flap arm covers to match each other better and so on.

BF109 mainly small mapping changes to accommodate the new skins.

Since the Spifire came out I haven't really had much time in it, at the time I had a 303 career, then my next randomly chosen squadron was Hurricane too.. anyway, I accidentally lost my career (when re-installing during testing regarding the windows .dll file thing) where I'd actually made it to Squadron Leader for the first time ever, but the silver lining there is that my new random career churned me out in a Spitfire squadron!

I'm not normally the sort to fire off praise for cockpit graphics, (or even the aircraft models) because I suppose I expect high quality from anything that you pay for these days (whilst somewhat unfair on those who do the builds to have such high expectations, it is kind of the industry standard to have gorgeous cockpits and models). But since 'sitting in' the Spitfire I've found myself marvelling at how really nice it is, all the little texture touches here and there, just really nicely done; the 'industry standard' has certainly been achieved.

So I break with my usual silence on this aspect to say:

"Wow, the spitfire cockpit is gorgeous!"
