Made my dinner, some nice broiled salmon with roasted carrots and roasted plum tomatoes, sat down to eat and watch 'Grand Prix'.
Power goes out! Just after 6pm. Stoddard hadn't even crashed yet.
Ate my dinner just before it got dark. I had a good sized side-dish of extreme annoyance. Seven comes and goes. It's 70*F out. Getting dark. No light pollution anywhere. I pour a scotch by flashlight and step onto my tiny deck. Pull up a chair, feet up on the table. I can hear the bugs skricking in the distance. No lights. Quiet. No cars. The battery back-up clock is creeping ...to...eight.
I take a second sip of scotch and start to relax. Ahhhh.
Not one minute into this, the lights all come back on!
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

You know what they say, 462cid: timing is everything.
Enjoy the rest of the race.

Not one minute into this, the lights all come back on! Depending on how secluded it is where you live you could create the same experience with a trip to the power panel. Wheels

Same principle I learned from Ghostbusters: don't cross the streams. It's an important safety tip.
