The final season of GOT will be airing in just 2 short weeks! I haven't been this excited about a final season of a show since Battlestar Galactica.

Hopefully the last episode won't blow like Battlestar Galactica's....well the 2nd half anyway.

You didn't like the end of BSG? I thought the ending was a hell of a lot better than... *spoiler alert* simply finding "Earth" and living happily ever after.

The one twist I truly wanted to see in BSG was that humans never created cylons--the cylons created us. We never got that, but we got a compromise--that humans and cylons bred together and some humans are part human, part cylon. All the pieces were there. They simply needed to exploit them. Wouldn't that have been something? Humans, a flawed, derivative of perfect beings--religious, nonetheless, origin of which unexplained, but the true precursors to modern man. That'd be interesting sci-fi.

Yup, it's time for me to start my HBO GO subscription again (as I said on Facebook). GoT is basically the best thing going for my taste. The only other things I currently enjoy are Stranger Things and Dark (German Netflix production).

I'm done streaming it - stopped at the end of season six and decided to wait till the whole thing is finished and then buy it all on Blu-ray.

Two reasons:

1. I've learned I strongly prefer watching at my own pace, and
2. I had the opportunity at a friends house to directly compare HD streaming to Blu-ray (with something else) and the Blu-ray was a much bigger improvement than I'd expected (although the streaming version was still at least 85/90% as good).

I still stream lots of stuff, but for certain epic things I want the absolute best possible quality (not to mention simply having physical possession).

April 13th.
Would have considered to register to a streaming service for the first time, but as it overlaps with an easter vacation, I will at least wait till May with such endeavours. Maybe even until it is aired here in Germany on freeTV and/or available on BR a few months later?! Not sure whether I can resist so long...
Well, otherwise I am prepared - finished reading the books again, and watched all episodes in March screwy

Be prepared to stay AWAY from the internet if you are not going to watch the final season episodes on release. Spoilers will be everywhere.

I don't mind me my share of spoilers and will happily search for them as well as excerpts, synopsis', ... Doesn't ruin it for me - maybe I have such a short attention span and memory, that, whenever I finally see the show, I wont remember all the info that I got beforehand zombie

I don't watch it but my daughters do. It will cost us another 30 buckaroos a month to get it, on top of the standard package, plus my sports for F1 and the V8s, plus Hulu, plus Netflix. I'll be going the yaaar route as it hits torrents in HD about 30 minutes after each episode.

Because there is so many tens of thousands downloading it immediately it hits the web it takes under a minute to be watching it. If there was a decent all in one package we would shell out, but there isn't. They give you so much unwatchable crud with the needed base package and then throw and split the other stuff up that it just becomes too expensive.

First world problems.

If you have regular HBO, you get HBO at no additional cost.

So who watched the first episode last night?

No spoilers of course but all I will say is that there’s no way both Jon Snow and Danaerys will survive the show. One of them is going to go down.

I think it would have been more realistic when Jon Snow found out that Daenarys was his Aunt if he had that look of surprise and disbelief melt away and turn into disgust and then he throws up.
