There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Well, being of a military background, you never can go wrong with The Naming of Parts.

Today we have naming of parts. Yesterday,
We had daily cleaning. And tomorrow morning,
We shall have what to do after firing. But today,
Today we have naming of parts. Japonica
Glistens like coral in all the neighboring gardens,
And today we have naming of parts.

This is the lower sling swivel. And this
Is the upper sling swivel, whose use you will see,
When you are given your slings. And this is the piling swivel,
Which in your case you have not got. The branches
Hold in the gardens their silent, eloquent gestures,
Which in our case we have not got.

This is the safety-catch, which is always released
With an easy flick of the thumb. And please do not let me
See anyone using his finger. You can do it quite easy
If you have any strength in your thumb. The blossoms
Are fragile and motionless, never letting anyone see
Any of them using their finger.

And this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this
Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it
Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this
Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards
The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers:
They call it easing the Spring.

They call it easing the Spring: it is perfectly easy
If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt,
And the breech, the cocking-piece, and the point of balance,
Which in our case we have not got; and the almond blossom
Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards,
For today we have the naming of parts.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

No mention of the diesel engine?

I had to chuckle at the line under the “propeller” text!

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”

Or as we seasoned pilots say “the spinny thing”.

No congratulations due to me. All I did was find the right shop, selection of paint scheme, and write the check. They did the real work.

But thanks for the approval of my paint scheme. I’m glad I got some input here at SimHQ on the detail on how to do the wheel pants. They came out real good.

I hope you all found the process interesting.

While she looks like a gem now, for those wondering - it wasn't exactly a rag-a-muffin before.

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events.

Yep, and I suspect ten years from now she won't look all that much worse for wear than she does right now.

Thanks Dart and Wheels.

I take good care of her. The original 1969 paint was still OK, but needing attention. 50 years on the paint isn’t bad longevity. I regularly clean her, occasionally wax her, and most importantly keep her in a hangar. Much of the reason was I just didn’t like the color of its original. Had that “70’s” look. I will continue to baby the new paint job.

I should post a couple pics of the interior. It too is sweet. Custom panel and leather seats. Most importantly, I keep her mechanically as good as cosmetically.
