The mig21s in the game do not have landing gear. Therefore it does not seem possible to taxi or take off/land in one if it is human controlled. They blow up when taxi landing or rotate during takeoff.

Most but not all the other aircraft have gear.

Anyone know a work around for this? I have one mission that requires a human controlled mig21 and I hate to start and end it in the air.

F-15 or F/A-18? Not that it matters, I don't think there is a fix for it. I noticed some F-4G's didn't seem to have gear either, but the AI managed to take off. I seem to recall this issue being worked on by TSH but I don't remember if it was ever completed.

The "Fly any plane" exploit in the Mission builder was never really ready for Prime TIme..

In the mission set I am finishing the human flies mirages su33 mig 27 mig 29 and jaguars. All of them work but of course the FM is f18 and no stores are visible on external views. The cockpits can be f18 f14 and A10. The mig21 is the only one I’m having trouble with.

Yeah, the flight model and limited external views were what I meant about the Fly Any Plane limitations.

I enjoyed the Fighters Anthology (and it's antecedents) for the SURVEY SIM nature of "FLY LOTS OF PLANES". Also why I stuck with and modded "Strike Fighters Project 1" and WIngs over Europe" (spending more time modding than actually FLYING, if the truth be told). For some reason, USAF never grabbed me despite spending many heroic hours getting it to run on various newer operating systems. Flaming Cliffs/DCS similarly never grabbed me. I keep coming back to the STUDY SIMS like F-15 and BMS, though my comfort level and enjoyment is always greatest in F/A-18.

My good friend, Hedgehog, says you could be flying this MiG-21. It comes complete with landing gear!
