Hi MDWA If you can't pick up an old CD boxed copy on eBay or a second-hand store, then Gamersgate have SF as a download: https://uk.gamersgate.com/DD-SFURY/steel-fury-kharkov-1942It's one of those sims that's ok out of the box - limited to one historical theatre with a modest number of missions and playable AFVs - but to get the best of it, you do need to invest a bit of time downloading and enabling a set of mods - the different freeware and donation-ware variants of the Steel Tank Add-on (STA) being what I and most others use. This is the link to the STA mod which is I think the last freeware version but has more than enough content, when you add in the 'GMP' mission packs and weather (terrain) mods: http://stasf2008.forumotion.com/t6-stasteel-fury-1-2You need to have completed registration on the forum for the d/l links to function. The content is (or was) on the 4Shared filesharing system and you need to pick the right link and when downloaded, put everything into the mod enabler and then enable things in the right order, as explained in that post. After that, you have a huge range of AFVs to fight in and against, from M8 armoured cars to these babies:

quote=SkyHigh]Marvelous screenshots. Is there a simple quick-mission maker available for lazy, impatient people like me?[/q Not built-in, like the battle editors in SABOW or GT:OS. There's a set of utilities available that can be used to create maps, objects and missions (or campaigns). I have used the OE only to do basic stuff like extending the barrel of the Churchill III to produce the 1944 longer-barrelled 6 Pdr or drop turret crew from route march to combat zone positions, and the ME to create a handful of missions, like this one for the 'Shulze's Diary' mini-campaign... ...and this one for an Op Bluecoat British Normandy campaign, which embarrassingly got no further but will be picked up again, soon I hope. This included somewhat more authentic crew commands in place of the stock SF ones, as illustrated in the first pic below, though the accompanying British Voice Pack (I did one for Panzer Elite) was likewise never finished, just the text displayed is changed ATM.... Implemented were realistic c.1944 troop and platoon organisations for use in building missions, eg four tanks to a Sherman troop with three 75mm gun tanks and a Firefly, with the latter not the troop leader's tank. I had a lot more planned, including modifying the available British infantry squads so that NCOs had Stens not Tommy Guns and adding the distinctive British turret rear stowage box to 75mm Shermans. If I'm ever to finish 'Britpak-Steel Fury' I will need help with making maps as there are not nearly enough set in western Europe, let alone suitable for Normandy. The SF ME I found no harder to use than Panzer Elite's equivalent, but it does have a bit of a learning curve, with help available over at the STA forum. But no, there's not a ready-made quick mission builder. There are dozens of missions for every conceivable playable vehicle, some chained into campaigns, so there is no shortage of stuff to do, with the STA mod and its mission packs, tho it is still preponderantly Eastern Front.
