Flying offline I escorted Avengers to a Japanese carrier and they bombed it with bombs.
I then flew a bombing mission in an Avenger to the same carrier, and chose torpedoes for the loadout.
I flew with wing leveller on, but my AIs got down low and torpedoed the carrier. What I expected happened.
The problem occurs offline and online because you cannot set the loadout for the secondary aircraft, and the exe will use the "bomb" loadout.
Hence the need for the bodge.

Ok, so if I understand, you do need a different flight data folder for each torpedo plane that you want to use for online play. One that only has a torpedo loadout.

Have you added all the modified Torpedo planesets that you need?



Unrelated -

Did you make any planesets with the MB-3?

Thinking about this a bit more.

The Loadmsn.dat file tells the exec which loadouts are to be used for each mission type and it even allows for a priority if there is more than one loadout for each mission type.

Could another .dat file be added to the flight data folder that defines the same parameters for the secondary aircraft?
