This package took about 8 months to produce. It includes all of the aircraft from earlier releases but upgraded with better models, plus a lot of new planes, improved flight models, improved cockpits with better gauges, new hangar screens and other major and minor changes including a number of multiskin sets. I want to thank member SkyHigh for helping me out with some quality control. His input found some last minute errors that I had to correct before releasing this. This package is meant to replace, not augment, earlier packages so follow the instructions that are included on the download site. The pack also includes new plane sets that must be used because the aircraft have been reorganized and the old plane sets won't work. Here are a bunch of screenshots with a sample of what is included - New Hangars - New aircraft - FW190A8(R8) B26 multiskins with sharper nose art - D335 B-2 He274 - F4F-3s - All the floatplanes are still in the mix but the floatplane set now includes some wheeled planes to make a complete 30 aircraft set which avoids the occasional CTD that the old set had. And of course, some x-planes to make things interesting - FW190TL - Go229 - FW187 A1(U3) On the other end of the scale, a bunch of biplanes - B354 - Demon - New cockpits with new gunsights and moving controls- Oh yeah and while I've got your attention, a couple of sreenshots from the ETO2015 target set - The trucks and planes are targets as well as the ship itself - Again, just a sample of what's available in the ETO2015 target set. BTW, I'm starting a similar project for SPAW. When it was released in 2007 there were only 255 TMOD slots. Now there are 4000 so it was time to revisit that scenario. Here's the link to the aircraft packages. They are broken up into 4 separate zip files, ETO, SPAW, DAW and ALT. There is also a PLANSET.Zip with the new planesets and an installation file describing how to include them in your 1.6 setup. http://www.mediafire.com/folder/6hqoll6h43fvn/Downloads

The only thing I'd like is that this new plane package take the place of the old package because I found numerous problems in the old package and I want the new package to reflect my best work.
So if you don't mind, on the next major 1.6 upgrade take out the old one and leave in the new.
Of course, individual players are free to leave the old package in place since, as you say, the new package doesn't conflict with it.
Frankly, I don't know why anyone would want to do that as all the same planes are in the new pack but most have received some kind of upgrade, whether flight models or graphics.

What you may not taking into account is that there are other peoples' planes and planesets in UAW160, such as Modred's new AoE material and Moggy's Iraq and Dunkirk. What you have provided is only replacing your stuff, and people who have downloaded and installed the previous material may not be aware of which folders were yours. As I wrote, there is no folder or filename conflict, so there are no problems. In my own installation I have removed a lot of the old stuff that your new package is replacing.

I just tested a new installation. It was made by making a "NewRay" folder, opening my "UAW160" folder and copying everything that is in it, except for the "Aircraft_Inventory" and "Planeset" folders. What I copied was pasted into the "NewRay" folder. Then I created a new "Aircraft_Inventory" folder, and pasted copies of your four folders into it. Finally I copied your "Planesets" folder and pasted it into the "NewRay" folder. I now have a working folder with just your planes and planesets. I can add other material to it whenever I want to, but at this stage I can simply choose to use either the old "UAW160" folder or the "NewRay" folder. Fortunately HDD space is not a problem

Russ, all the hangars are there. You need a full install of I.6 which will include a program in the root directory called "PlaneSetExeTheatreSwitchV3". With that program you can select any set of planes and fly in any scenario you choose.
Jel, another reason I want to delete the old planes is that this new plane package is more than double to size of the old package, containing all the old planes plus 30 or so new ones. It makes for a pretty big file set.
There's no point having the same planes duplicated in the next 1.6 upgrade package. It's just a waste of space and increases download times for no good reason.

If you check the "rationalisation" sticky in this forum you will see how the UAW160 system works. You download the Part One file which is a barebones install creating the "UAW160" folder. Then you run the eaw.exe to see if your system will cope with UAW160. If it does then you download the Part Two file and run it in the "UAW160" folder. This gives you a real working folder. After that you can optionally download and install additional material, which includes bug fixes, additional theatres, additional planes and planesets, and updated exes. So it is a system allowing things to be added to it, and I do not intend to make a new upgrade package of the basic material

Instead I've depended on you to incorporate the work into your page. If this was the case, then by default you were the repository for MY work. So, shouldn't you delete the old package and replace it with the new package if I request you to do so?

We need to ensure that the new package is OK. I have had several CTDs with the "mixed flightmodels" error. It happens if any of Ralf's "plane.flt" files are used. There is a botch to stop the CTD in the exe code. The botch is having a "NoDragStab" file in the root folder, but it is a botch and should not be needed. One of the culprits is the AI B-17E which may be loaded as the plane to escort when you choose an allied fighter. I had to run multiplayer to confirm this. It gave that CTD any time the B-17E as selected as an AI plane, and no CTD if it was not. In "SPAW-1943 Early" there is a P-40L with no skin files and no hangar file. There are so many folders and files that it will take some time for all of the problems to emerge So at this stage I think that it is unwise to remove the old. BTW you left a heap of editing software in your folders

1 - I left the editors on purpose with the idea that someone might like to dabble. I did forget to mention that in my original post.
2 - I do see the error with the P-40L. It isn't a missing skin, rather it is a typo in the planeset. I will fix it and upload a replacement.
3 - I don't get the B17E CTD over here but I do have "NoDragStab" installed.
