You know, as rediculous as that sounds, considering the what I've seen them say and write concerning aviation subjects.....I believe it.

My very first car I bought in 1986, and when it ran out of fuel it maintained altitude perfectly 100% of the time. Obviously Big Aviation has a black policy of forcing unreliable outdated technology in order to drive up insurance costs for the benefit of the Elite.

Funny you mention that, I had a car that would maintain altitude just fine even when it ran out of fuel, but it would lose velocity. I could never find a mechanic competent enough to fix it either.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” -Robert Heinlein

Weird though that aircraft are the other way around? They lose altitude but not velocity. And yet when one reaches zero the other is instantly zero. Collusion.
