Those are some fabulous shots Jel. I think that EAW's continuing strength as a sim is the sheer number of aircraft that you can throw at it. Other sims bog down on my four year old system, but EAW can chuck 250 planes at me without missing a beat. You might lose some graphical fidelity but those numbers... that's tough to beat!

Yeah I love to fight huge numbers of enemies, especially when they're chasing me and I have to use every trick I know to get away from them to start atacking instead of flying evasive and not getting any kills. I decided to set ExtraSquads in my EAW.INI to 3 to see how it behaved on my legacy WinME machine. For me a pretty high setting which I'd not used many times because FPS could be somewhat choppy in the past. I counted the planes before proceeding and had two waves of B17's of 48 planes each and as many fighters around and I was surprised how smooth things went on such an old system (1.7 Ghz PIV) with only 32MB video and 256MB internal memory. This screenshot shows the damage done after my squad's initial atack::
