I have trouble keeping all the Dirt games straight, and somehow have three on Steam(most for free), Rally, Dirt 3, and Showdown. What's the difference between them? Dirt 3 is pretty fun, but I don't have a wheel to take advantage of any of them, and use my 360 controller.

Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0 are considered simulations. The rest of Dirt series is arcade racing. Dirt Showdown was uber arcade. I found Dirt Rally quite difficult on PC and PS4. I had a hard time placing higher than 4th. I bought DR 2.0 for PS4 Pro and will be using a Logitech G29. I'm upgrading my PC soon, but not soon enough for this release. As far a racing sims/games go, I prefer Rally racing.

Was tempted to buy it on release but will probably wait till the game gets VR support as it is really hard to go back to a flatscreen after you get comfortable using it with other racing sims. Though the original Dirt Rally was the only title I had some difficulties using my Rift so far. Really had to take breaks driving that game otherwise I would get a bit dizzy. Never happened in any of the other VR games.
Time is the only luxury.

As far a racing sims/games go, I prefer Rally racing. Loved the first, but never got around to racing much past the classic era with the Lancia Fulvia and similar cars. The RWD era and the Group B monsters were too difficult for me to control properly with just the PS4 controller. My PS4 is in my living room, and the table is too low to use with a wheel. Too bad, as Dirt Rally is the best rally sim since Richard Burns Rally.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
