One day a saw about four of them taunting an alligator. Dancing around it and getting it to lunge at them. Went on for about a half hour before the turkeys then just got bored and walked away. Damndest thing.

Heh that street is the spitting image of my wife's parent's old neighborhood in Apopka, where the house on the left with the column and garage would have been theirs. :P

Unlike me, OG lives in the non-crowded area of Florida. smile

I choose that. I am not a big city kind of guy. This is a compromise between the wife and I. I would choose to be more rural. I’m a redneck at heart.

My house has a huge 826 square ft garage. Three doors and a bay nearest the house without a door. Plenty of room for cars, motorcycle, gun safes, and all the other garage stuff.

I found a couple more pictures of the turkeys. This is out my back.

And here is one when we were having a drought. You can see the otter which was feasting because the fish were restricted in escaping.

Haggart, get yourself an Orion 10x42 Monocular.

Unlike most binoculars this thing can actually focus on objects down to 20 inches. Which gives it the ability to function like a "long distance magnifying glass" (but of course still does long distance viewing too).

So say a bird is parked 10 or 15 feet away from you - you can totally view it as if you had a powerful magnifying glass 2 inches away from it, without scaring it off.

I used mine this way once on a crazy looking spider about 5 feet away from me - I could totally see it's eyeballs and hairs...

I mainly bought mine for passing around at air shows and events - it's just far, far easier to share among multiple people than binoculars which require interpupillary distance adjustment, then objective lens adjustment, then right ocular lens adjustment. With the monocular it's just one objective lens dial. This is especially convenient if sharing with kids.

Oh, and it can be mounted on a camera tripod too...

I own three. I guess you hate me? :P

Only one hunts though. I've always had a cat that hunts. They're great for killing bugs and other annoying pests around the house.

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
Feeding next door cats while they are on holiday. Just cleared up another dismembered mouse. Probably because I was a tad late feeding it.
Stands there looking accusingly at me as I go in:
"You're late ya w*nker! Look what extreme you have driven me to!"

It would of folded it's arm if it could of done.
