Just curious.I've only just started a month ago and only do it on the weekends when I have plenty of time to prepare. I started getting curious a couple of years ago because I wondered what it was like when that was all there was before safety razors came along. There is a learning curve, that's for sure. My most recent shave only had two minor nicks and that's good compared to several weeks ago when I cut myself pretty good. In a way, it is a hobby. I could say that I'm doing it because it cuts down on waste like disposable razors and blades, but the real truth is that I like the manliness of it. I'm determined to get this down to perfection, even if the real reason is somewhat foolish. It becomes a combination of art and science, especially the preparation (hot towel, lathering, etc . . . ). Thank goodness for YouTube tutorials!
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

of course no homo razor will touch my face. i used once, i still have it but rarely use it, only to trim harder parts like the moutsche or close to the mouth if i decide to do a goatee or similar, i'm still using mostly eletric for maintainance and disposable razor for overall.

I use the single edge razors, along with the mug, brush, shave cream, witchhazel, and balm. The wet shaving process is something I tend to enjoy, it's relaxing.

Well, it certainly is a niche market (like flight sims). And like flight sims, if you get into it you can spend some money on it. Razors, honing stones, strops, shaving soaps/creams, brushes, and the list goes on.
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

I'm thinking of going back to the single blade safety razor, simply because 1) I think adding blades to a razor has reached the point of diminishing returns and 2) the new razor cartridges seem to be made of a rare and expensive metal, rather than just thin steel (judging from the price).
