A groundstarted sweep to Bethune which is inland: Just across the French coast and Me262s scramble, but they are vulnerable at take-off. This was my second pass and the one that is smoking is one that I damaged on the first pass: Oops there goes another 262 I have made some changes to the exe since these were taken, so the plane that scrambles should be the enemy secondary. The Me262 became operational in 1944 so I have changed the "plane.dat'' file so that it can be selected in 1944. This allows a groundstart from South-East England so that the pilot can fly over those coastal airfields (Wissant, Audembert and Caffiers) and have a reasonable chance that the 262s will scramble from one of them.

A lot of progress I have made the "enemy encounter aircraft" selectable in the single mission parameters: It uses the current enemy secondary choice that is displayed, which can be random. When I "Click here" at the top the "enemy encounter aircraft" is set, and you can change the enemy secondary selection to something else without affecting the "enemy encounter aircraft" choice. With the random settings Me410s were spawned: I saw the 109Es but did not take a screenie Elsewhere some 109Gs were spawned. The 410s were all destroyed, and as a result more were spawned. This makes for a very different game as we are attacking planes just after take off. You need good low flying skills, and so do some of the AIs

No. Look at the top of the parameters screen. "Click here...." I had selected the 262 as the enemy secondary plane, then "clicking here" set it as the enemy encounter plane, which is why you can see the "Me 262" text underneath. Then I went back and set the enemy secondary as "Do not select". I could have had a different enemy secondary plane for an even trickier mission
