There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Thanks for this post because I had no clue what a " fatberg" was until I read the article. smile

I live quite near this town

It's a seaside vacation resort so gets a lot of high living several months a year and folks on holiday don't worry or care like they would at home I think.

I agree it should have been spotted much earlier and I was waiting for the journalists to ask. We pay the highest water charges in the UK due to old infrastructure being replaced and tourist numbers in the summer.

they DO do inspections.. but only so many inspectors, so many miles of pipework, dating from the Victorians onwards... and guess what the main culprit is in a fatberg?

the clue is, it's not the fat. that gets to layer up on the culprit..

"wet wipes". they don't break down and clog... the fat then layers on that clog....

I'm in an allied trade to the sewer/water guys (Legionella control) and hear that they are constantly digging this stuff out

The post office depot next door to my business like to use wet wipes. Guess whose drain they block?

Darn...

Have to be wary of that scary dam filter... kinda like junior high, IN THE FREAKIN SIXTIES!!!

Anyway, and all this time I thought Fatberg was a town in ___(just about any state in the obese US, with a plethora of weight watchers drop outs)!

Live and learn.
