Are there any old games that you would consider buying again if they were re-released with a current-day DX12 graphics engine?
There are several for me that would be "must buys".
1. Napoleon Total War 2. Dead Space 3. Fallout New Vegas 4. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II 5. FEAR 6. Tie Fighter 7. Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear 8. Tron 2.0 9. Pacific Air War 1942

I'm right there with you on Rogue Spear and 1942 PAW, especially the latter!

As well as a few on your list: Subwar 2050 Strike Commander/Strike Fighters/US Navy Fighters / some sort of Sim-Lite flight sim with fairly realistic flight models and simplified avionics (similar to War Thunder, but single player dynamic campaign and cold war/modern jets) Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Transport Tycoon Deus Ex (The original) Mechwarrior 2 (original and Mercenaries)
X-Wing/Tie Fighter Wing Commander 1 and 2(ONLY if they preserve the art style used in the original games but maybe updated it to true 3D) Ultima Underworld 1 and 2 Sentinel Worlds I and Hard Nova
There's probably others. Most stuff from the mid-90s and on that I wanted updated has already been from modders.
Yeah, the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games would be at the top of my list. Falcon would qualify, except BMS is very much like a re-release with the upgraded graphics.

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
Thief 1 and 2 original Deus Ex Hidden&Dangerous 2 Dune 2 Chuck Yeager's Air Combat F-117A Stealth Fighter Alpha Protocol VTM Bloodlines SWAT 3 original Rainbow Six with Roque Spear original Ghost Recon
1- Jane's f-15 best sim i ever played (never got into jane's hornet, found it boring, but i loved the old f-18 korea......maybe because it has a nuke on it lol.)
2- enemy engaged 2 comanche vs hokum (with the mods for other choppers part of the base game)
3- comandos series remade a la xcom 2
4- hidden and dangerous being more lite sim with expansive world map, (not sandbox though, just big detailed maps)
5- Syphon Filter (though that kind of game is very 90s action hero and dated like cod)
6- no one lives forever
7- tomb raider, you know the REAL one.
8-Oni , that game was WAY ahead of its time, think of batman arkham fight style in a time where all you did was punch punch, till the enemy was dead . [video:youtube]https://youtu.be/5vVSDxjas2w?t=641[/video]
9-Shogo: Mobile Armor Division (think titanfall of the 2000s)
10-Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers / World of ilusion with hand drawn animation (common capcom you gave us remastered ducktales, finish the job !)
11-dino crisis
12- Trespasser, come on someone must do it, call it TREXpasser #%&*$# universal !

I played the heck out of that game. It had some great missions, the skydive without a parachute and the laser alarm dodging stand out as some of my favourite FPS missions to this day. And the theme music was great!

The music was indeed really well done. In fact, Monolith is one of my all-time favorite developers. I absolutely loved their NOLF games, Tron 2.0, Fear, Alien vs. Predator 2 and the relatively recent Shadow of Mordor/War LOTR games.
