I am forever taking screenies to post here, often with the cockpit toggled off.
However, the gunsight remains, and it is a PITA for the screenie.
So I have made an exe which lets me turn the gunsight on or off using Alt-G as a toggle

A great advertisement for the game. The icing on the cake would be the absence of text.

The text can be turned off
With my eaw.ini backspace de-selects the target, so there is no red text at all.
Shift-Left(arrow) toggles the players HUD on/off.
Check your eaw.ini for your own values
