I bought BF 1 last night,it was only £7:00 in the Origin store so I thought 'why not'? Using the menus is painful,I would click on an option and it would take ages to register that click.

Not sure I'm going to enjoy the game or not,I was hoping for a rather more sedate version of BF4 but I guess it's an on-line shooter so I'm going to struggle as usual Should be an interesting era to play in though.

I'd convinced myself that I'd never buy the bloody thing, but at such a cheap price I went against my better judgement and got it.
Have to say, although I doubt I will ever go online with it, I'm thoroughly enjoying the single player campaign... it was great fun playing the tank sequence, and I have had quite a blast playing through the 'Lawrence of Arabia' sequence

Yup,the tank sequence was very good,at least so far,if a little confusing at times. Is the Lawrence of Arabia thing DLC? I just bought the std edition.

I fixed the problem,I had enabled DX12 which I thought would be a good thing for a GTX970 but apparently not.

I just got the standard edition as well... there is a section in the campaign set in the desert, with a cameo appearance of Lawrence, but you play an Arab girl who is pretty good at killing lots of Turks, lol!

I will look forward to that!

Just played my first MP session. 1 kill 13 deaths so up to my usual standard I did play as medic though,that seemed a good class. I prefer to support rather than fight too much.
