I am probably going to buy the Sony XB950N1 Extra Bass Wireless Noise Cancelling headphones. I am a little worried that my IPod Touch might not be compatible as far as blue tooth connectivity is concerned because it is an older unit and cannot be updated to the latest IOS (which is in the 12 range and mine stopped in the 6 range). However, I have decided that I will try it and then decide whether or not it is worth upgrading my IPod or if I should just return the headphones for a refund.

So what is my point? Well, I thought that a discussion about wireless headphones might be beneficial because typically, product discussions at SimHQ tend to bring out very useful info when it comes to purchasing decision making. Can I get an AMEN? Just kidding.

So, what are your experiences with wireless headphones?

Amen! (Not kidding)

It looks like you could use a wired connection if the Bluetooth doesn't work (small consolation)

I have been using Paww WaveSound 3 Bluetooth 5.0 Over-Ear Travel Headphones Active Noise Cancelling with my Android phone to listen to music when I'm on the plane. I'm not an audiophile, so my satisfaction with them probably doesn't mean much to more discerning members. Affordably cancelling the engine noise while being able to enjoy some music was more important to me than audio specs.

Good luck with your purchase!

I have some Bose 35s. They sound very good to my ears and are extremely comfortable.

I have Bose Soundlink 2 bluetooth headphones. I really like them a lot. Better than any wifi headphones I've ever had.

Bose 35 II Qietcomfort. Served me well across the Atlantic, recently. Comfortable, good noise cancelling, no more high-pitched whine like an early model that I head. It can do Bluetooth, but also comes with a cable (however, no tri-plug airplane adapter, which was a bit of a let-down).

We just bought the Sony WH1000's for my son for Christmas, the reason we picked these over the Bose was he can push on one side of the ear and it quiets the music and amplifies the outside noise so you can hear people without taking off your headphones.

Sony WH1000 are the bestest.

I bought a pair once I started traveling alot for work this year, never regretted it. The newest version (XM3) has been getting the best reviews, beating out the current Bose versions.

Bose included one with the original 35s but deleted it from the 35 IIs. Silly really.

May I suggest a solution for the ipod bluetooth connectivity?

Amazon does offer a small, about two inch square by quarter inch Bluetooth receiver/transmitter wireless 2-in-1 Audio adapter by esinkin that works with my old ipod and present TV and even my old Bose receiver amplifier or anything that has a headphone jack, including my computer, phone or tablet.

I synch that up to my in-ear wireless headset and works just fine.

My headset is not noise-canceling, which I prefer, since I can still carry on a conversation and can tell when someone approaches me from behind when walking, it’s waterproof so I don’t worry about sweating, and very light.

Lost a bit of hearing on a T-37 engine and with this arrangement I can have my own volume control while she hears TV through the sound bar connection.

I am rolling with Jabra Elite wireless earpods. Can't go back to anything else after how comfortable and convenient these are.

Fittop, I am going to upgrade my iPod because more and more apps will not work on IOS 6.1.6 (including the Sony Headphone Connect app) which my iPod is limited to. However, this device you are talking about still interests me. What is it? Do you have a link to it in Amazon or something? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay. Here's the link in Amazon: Brand name "esinkin"
Comes with the necessary connections for USB charging.

esinkin Bluetooth Receiver/Transmitter, Wireless 2-in-1 Audio Adapter for TV/Home Sound System

Think the price is around $22. They seem to be running low on them now.
Had mine for over a year with no problems.
Use it to avoid being wire-tied to the computer when doing virtual flying on computer also rather than using speakers.

Amazon has a $50 discount on the Bose 35II's so they're marked down to $300 from $350. I just snagged 2 pair for my wife and myself... :-)
