Good point Panzer, and true, we don't have enough power plants or infrastructure in place to support all these vehicles yet. Nuclear would be a fantastic option, as well as solar where permitting. Wind I'm not a fan of at all because it saps energy from our atmosphere, which is critical for spreading and convection of heat across our planet's surface.
Modern batteries are wasteful and an ecological disaster waiting to happen, so for cities, cars may even draw power using induction built into the grid or move towards hydrogen fuel cells(we can hope), until cleaner rare-earth battery alternatives are developed.
